| | Nature or nurture? Did the man who became known for his many sexual conquests become that way as the child of actors, abandoned very young—and enamored with secrets, magic, and improvisation?
Or was it his home, the prosperous, showy, stunningly beautiful, and pleasure-driven independent city-state of Venice, that allowed his debauchery to bloom?
Granted, Casanova (shown above) tested and crossed boundaries for decades before his comeuppance. But did he get the last laugh?
