Tomorrow's discovery begins with your support.

The National Geographic Society has a bold mission to use the power of science, exploration, education, and storytelling to illuminate and protect the wonder of our world.
As we near the end of 2022, I’m reflecting on the impact our Contributing Members have helped the National Geographic Society make. Their generosity has allowed us to safeguard more than 6.5 million square kilometers of ocean wilderness—the biggest habitat on our planet—and protect its wildlife from overfishing, pollution, and other threats.
Because of the generosity of supporters, our global community of National Geographic Explorers has been able to protect, study, and document thousands of square kilometers of land across a diversity of landscapes—from the Okavango River to the Amazon Basin and every space in between.
I’m more hopeful about the future of our world. We are making incredible progress, but there is much, much more work to be done. Your support today will ensure that we remain steadfast to the mission and invest in bold changemakers who are helping create a healthier, more sustainable planet. You’ll help fund the work of our global community of National Geographic Explorers who are tackling some of the biggest challenges of our time.
Please help the Society and our Explorers continue to protect our oceans and marine life as we embark on a new year. Your gift today inspires tomorrow's discovery.
December is our last chance to fulfill our 2022 funding commitment to Explorer-led programs all over the globe, and your special year-end contribution today will do so much to support the critical and innovative work it takes to protect our most vulnerable species and the wild places they call home.
Thank you in advance for your continued support because exploration truly starts with you.
Sincerely, | | Wudassie Teklehaimanot Senior Director, Annual Giving & Membership National Geographic Society
