The Fool’s Plan for Financial Freedom

A simplified approach to assessing many of the different areas of any investor's financial life. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Motley Fool

Hello Fools!

We know investing in the stock market has been challenging recently, but we also know this is part of the normal ebb and flow of being a long-term investor. We talk a lot about our Foolish Investing Philosophy, and now we're going one step further. We're providing all Fools with an outline for how to think through a simplified financial plan – because we want them to achieve their financial goals.

Investing is only one part of anyone's financial picture, and it's important to take time to make sure the rest of the financial boxes are checked as well. There are so many resources available for you here at the Fool and we want to help with a roadmap for a financial plan using those tools in conjunction with our Foolish stocks.

This doesn't take the place of a comprehensive financial plan tailored to your specific goals and circumstances, but it can provide an important starting point. This plan provides generalized guidance you can use as a jumping off point for your own financial plan, if you're interested. It's critical to periodically review where you stand financially, whether that involves meeting with a financial advisor or fee-only planner, or whether you do the planning work yourself -- it's up to you.

This report is meant to be a starting point to help highlight articles, topics, and resources available throughout Fooldom to reference when building your financial plan. We know we can't possibly capture all the nuances of everyone's personal financial situation, but our hope is that this report gets Fools like you thinking and moving in the direction of leveling up your financial life.

Click the green button below to get started putting a financial plan into action. And don't forget to listen in to the Motley Fool Money podcast for more financial planning tips and tools along the way.
