| Get up, get up off that floor! Four of five of us don’t get enough exercise, even though a sedentary lifestyle is our fourth biggest killer.

| Bait ball: Off the coast of Costa Rica, Nat Geo Explorer Bertie Gregory was looking to film spotted dolphins feeding on what's called bait balls of mackerel (pictured above). And he did—with an added surprise: yellowfin tuna were doing the same.

| PHOTOGRAPH BY DANIELLE AMY | | Thirsty trees: The Yatir Forest (pictured above) is 12 square miles with 4 million trees—mainly Aleppo pine—and is Israel's largest human-made forest.
What sounds like a good thing—forests! carbon capture!—comes with problems: Some scientists say these trees are endangering the existing desert ecosystem, and any carbon benefits will take hundreds more years, all while climate change-driven drought is killing the forest.
What is Israel's path forward? Perhaps it's with more robust trees. | | | |
