I have something very important I want to discuss with you: telling the right story of America.
The American story is one of exceptionalism and prosperity, not socialism and despair. Our story is one of independence and personal freedom, not the false promises of socialists. Ours is the greatest one ever told. We need to be sharing the right story, not the story of doom-and-gloom being told by many on the left.
We are the ones who must convince Americans that personal independence and responsibility is actually good, that the federal government is not the solution to every problem we face, and that the failure of socialism throughout history must be exposed as the evil that it is so that it never takes hold in our great country.
We need to tell the story of freedom, not utopian socialism. We need to tell the story that it is still OK to unapologetically love America because that story is based in truth and gratitude and not fear-mongering for the sake of revolution and power.
These midterm elections will be the battle of our lifetime, enser. The battle between those who believe America is good and socialists who believe America is inherently bad.
The American spirit—long characterized by grit and fortitude—is unraveling. We must fix it. The future of our nation depends on it. Can I count on you to join me?
