This past weekend, I was reflecting on why I got into politics. I ran to bring the values of Alaska and the Marine Corps to the U.S. Senate. I ran to get big things done for Alaska and our country. I ran to rebuild our military, unleash our tremendous energy potential, and slash bureaucratic red tape. And I ran because I’m a father who wanted my three daughters to grow up in an America that still makes things.
I’m a husband who believes in doing the hard work it takes to build a strong family and strong country. And I’m a Marine who’s never backed down from a fight when something is worth defending.
Right now, that fight is here at home – bringing American manufacturing back where it belongs.
I’ve seen too many towns across our country that have been hollowed out by bad trade deals and a mindset that we should outsource everything. I reject that. I believe in Made in the USA. I wear it, I drive it, and I fight for policies that support it.
But I can’t do this alone.
